|Dear Texas MBA Alumni, |
Recently, I shared with you a portion of our vision for Rowling Hall, the future home of the Texas MBA program. The vision encompasses five interrelated themes: overlapping communities, showcasing, tinkering, innovating, and attracting. In this short note, I outline how Rowling Hall will support our vision of 'attracting' in the Texas MBA program.
Rowling Hall, the new home of the Texas MBA program, will be a destination for members of the McCombs community, for thought leaders from across campus and the city of Austin who want to collaborate, to present their ideas, to play, and to be inspired. It will serve to attract prospective students and faculty who are excited to join the community that calls Rowling Hall home.
A primary goal of the project is to create a hub of activity, a place where students thrive, and ideas come to life. The building will be a magnet that attracts users with dynamic public spaces, a vibrant school culture, and programs that foster purposeful interaction.
Students from around the university will be drawn to Rowling Hall because it encourages interdisciplinary interaction and collaboration in ways unseen in other campus buildings.
All in all, Rowling Hall is going to be a game changer. The Texas MBA program will have a home that attracts overlapping communities together to tinker, to innovate, to get things done. We do that daily now. The new space will permit us to do it in new and better ways, more often, and truly ensure that "what starts here changes the world."
If you'd like to be involved in this exciting project, please see the opportunities. With your help now, we'll enter this transformational space in March 2017.
If you have questions, drop me a line or give me a shout. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Associate Dean for Graduate Programs
